Module 6 · Reference
Equipment
Which boxes a customer gets is decided by three things: internet in the home, how many TVs, and their credit qualification. Get this wrong and the order is wrong.
The one rule that drives everything
Hopper Plus requires internet
Customers only get the Hopper Plus if they have internet. Think of the Hopper
Plus as a Firestick or Roku built into their box — without internet there's nothing for
it to do.
With internet
Hopper Plus + Hopper 3, then Joey 4.0 for every other TV.
Without internet
Hopper 3 only, then Joey 3 for every other TV.
Configurator
Answer three questions and get the exact KnockVia box layout plus what they owe today.
Worked examples from the note
3 TVs, internet in the home
- Main top Hopper Plus
- Secondary Hopper 3 main box
- Third Joey 4.0
- Fourth Joey 4.0
Four entries for three TVs — Hopper Plus and Hopper 3 pair up on the first TV.
1 TV, internet in the home
- Main top Hopper Plus
- Secondary Hopper 3 main box
2 TVs, no internet
- Main top Hopper 3
- Secondary Joey 3
Standard & Flex24 qualification
Standard customers pay up front
- No Hopper Plus, regardless of internet.
- $200 up front for the Hopper 3 — or the Hopper w/Sling for $50 up front.
- They get Hopper w/Sling and Joey 3.0 receivers.
- They do not qualify for free installation — $50 up front.
Credit checks
The qualification comes back in KnockVia after the credit check. It will read ELITE, PLUS, STANDARD or FLEX24 — that word decides pricing and equipment.
Frozen credit — Equifax only
If a customer has their credit frozen they must unfreeze it through
EQUIFAX and EQUIFAX alone.

Handling their SSN
You enter it into KnockVia and nowhere else. Never write it down, photograph it, or
text it — and don't save it anywhere on your phone.
