Cancellation instructions for the customer
Order of operations matters
After installation is complete, the customer calls
1-800-531-5000 to cancel their previous provider, then
follows that provider's instructions for returning receivers and remotes.
Never have them cancel first.
Installation work order
What you fill out at the table. Know it cold so you're not fumbling.
Fields
- Install date and time slot — 8-12, 12-5, or 5-8. Same day yes/no.
- Customer info — name, home and cell phone, address, billing address, SSN, email, card number, expiry, CVV, DOB.
- Consent line — signing gives consent to call the numbers listed.
- TV 1–6 — check the receiver for each: Hopper 3, Hopper Duo, Wireless Joey, Joey 3, Joey 4.
- Programming — Top 120, 120+, 200, 250, Everything Pak, Latino Plus, Latino-Dos, Latino Max. Number of TVs. 2-year price. Autopay yes/no. Free movies yes/no.
- Processing fee $49.99 and total due today.
Three initials — get all three
- 24-month agreement period
- $1 temporary hold on the credit card
- Satisfied with programming selected
Handling customer data
This form carries SSN, card number and DOB. It goes into KnockVia and then the paper
copy goes where your manager tells you — not in your car, not photographed, not texted.
